Welchen Hauttyp hast du?

What's your skin type?

Determine your skin type so you can find the right skincare products for your individual needs.

Want to perfect your skincare routine but don't know where to start? The first step is to determine your skin type! Use our tips to find out what skin type you belong to so you can shop accordingly.

Sensitive Skin
People with sensitive skin have a genetic predisposition to a thinner lipid barrier, which the skin uses to protect itself from irritants. Sensitive skin can also be sensitized, meaning that its lipid barrier is compromised by its environment or lifestyle (e.g., climate, spicy foods, etc.).

Signs of sensitive skin:
  • Appears tender, thin or translucent
  • Redness or blotchiness with a tendency to rosacea
  • Flushing, itching or burning - a sign of over-reactive capillaries
Dry or Dehydrated Skin
There is a difference between dry and dehydrated skin, but both often feel the same. Dry skin usually has a lack of oil, while dehydrated skin has a lack of water.

Signs of dry or dehydrated skin:
  • Scaling and/or itching
  • Tightness and/or dullness
  • Absorbs moisturizer quickly
Oilyskin
Oily skin is caused by excessive production of sebum (oil). The causes of oily skin are often unclear because sebum production is influenced by everything from genetics and hormonal activity to environment and lifestyle.

Signs of oily skin:
  • Shiny complexion
  • Pores appear enlarged
  • Skin texture is oily or congested
Aging Skin
Everyone ages, but for some people the signs of aging are more visible than others. This is often due to environmental and lifestyle factors that can accelerate the visible aging of the skin.

Signs of aging skin:
  • Dark spots, fine lines, wrinkles
  • Dullness
  • Loose, crepe-like texture
Skin Prone to Breakouts
Whether it's genetic predisposition, chronic stress, hormones, lifestyle habits, pollution, diet, or all of these factors combined, skin that is prone to breakouts is usually characterized by chronic, recurring breakouts.

Signs of breakout-prone skin:
  • Red, inflamed bumps and uneven texture
  • Excess oil or congestion
  • Scars from previous breakouts
Combination skin
Combination skin looks shiny and feels dry, all at the same time. Skin that produces excess oil and is dry at the same time may seem daunting, but it's all about balance!

Signs of combination skin:
  • Oily or dull-looking T-zone (forehead, nose and chin)
  • Cheeks and eye area feel dry
  • Skin appears oilier in hot weather and drier in cold weather
