Was ist eine doppelte Reinigung?

What is a double cleaning?

Double cleansing involves cleansing the skin twice, first with an oil-based cleanser and then with a water- or surfactant-based cleanser. The Dermalogica Double Cleanse - also known as the secret to healthy, ultra-clean skin - effortlessly removes layers of built-up makeup, products and oily debris, allowing your prescribed Dermalogica Cleanse to penetrate even further, for a professional level of cleansing.

Why you need to double cleanse

Whether you wash your face day and night or not, you'll be surprised at what's left on your skin after a single cleanse.

Environmental pollutants in the air, as well as cosmetics like sunscreen and waterproof makeup, combine daily with your skin's naturally sticky sebum secretions to form a thick, slippery, waxy layer by lunchtime. Yikes.

If you're like most people, cleansing with regular face washes or makeup remover wipes only takes you about 20 seconds. That's not enough time to get through the buildup. What's left behind is excess sebum, makeup, pollutants, and dirt that give your skin a dull, congested look and prevent your skincare from working its best. Cleansing twice with the same cleanser is also not effective.

That's why Dermalogica developed the Double Cleanse technique, which first cleanses the skin with an oil-based formula that deconstructs and dissolves oily buildup for a more thorough cleanse than one cleanser alone.

This is how it works

Step 1: PreCleanse Balm

Massage our original PreCleanse Oil - or our travel-friendly PreCleanse Balm - into skin to attract and thoroughly dissolve excess debris.

Step 2: Cleanser

Wash your face with your prescribed Dermalogica Cleanser to remove any remaining impurities.

The result? A thorough cleanse that will leave your skin looking healthy every day.
